Rebar

I saw this rusted rebar at the home improvement store. Its patterns, both fabricated (texture) and natural (color), create a marvelous interaction.

Rebar is one of those things that is so ubiquitous, yet invisible to most of us, that it might seem undistinguished. But it is everywhere and in everything. You are probably surrounded by it at this very moment. It lies buried within the concrete that defines our interior spaces.
